MY DEAR OLD

Archivie

Photography

Matter comforts and reassures me. I need to explore it, understand it, alter it.

There can be sensitive or inanimate objects, capable of expanding in space and shifting their shape.

Content Frame

A frame defines the space and the objects that it contains. It is both form and function.
All things extracted from its context may take on different meanings and different signifiers.
Hence a wooden floor is no longer a surface to walk on but a visual landscape where visual forces, golden proportions and colour harmonies come into action.
A frame is not just a frame.

Mirror

My roots are grounded within the primordial source of inspiration, in nature and its metamorphosis.
Nothing we create is ever entirely new to the world. “Creation”, in poetic terms as in chemistry is transformation.

Light & Shadow

The curious and disturbing television circus offers us the worst of itself every day.

“Here they go again”, inside their luminous rectangle. Visual metaphors behind their old faces.

On one side, their tired faces, redundant and obsolete words, their tragicomic pantomime.
On the opposite side, us; the other 99%, condemned to the struggle, floundering, trying to keep our heads above water, swept up by our preoccupations and too stiffened to find the necessary energy and express our true power. The only power that could save us: creativity.

The spirit of things and the latent essence of people, their gestures and actions, often lies behind the image.

Behind the screen is the true essence of “those who own a face but only exhibit their appearance“(*).
